Involving the community in an art installation.

The Phoenix was a very special project that was developed over many months, building a giant bird from yarn, wire, driftwood and bamboo. Thread by thread the massive giant was put together. A big part of the small town of Petrolia, CA attended the “Phoenix Rising” ceremony where we put the bird up. Collaboration with Dave Grant and Angie McArthur. Photos by Taina del Negri.
